Description:

Why have 80% of the honeybees in the US vanished within the past few years? Most vegetables and fruit trees rely on natural pollination to produce; with no replacement, emergency research is looking at this ecological disaster! SILENCE OF THE BEES, aired on PBS, explores potential causes and consequences of the mystery. After the film, local beekeepers will tell of their experiences and answer questions. There will be plenty of sweet honey for tasting and beeswax products direct from the hives.
