The Santa Fe Arts and Culture website is an online resource and tool for promoting arts and culture.  Artists and art agencies such as, museums, galleries, art centers, can use the site to:

  • Post unlimited event listings on the CALENDAR
  • Submit event listings to the NM CultureNet LISTSERV
  • Submit event announcements  to the monthly NM CultureNet NEWSLETTER
  • Inform the public about Santa Fe arts and culture in the MAGAZINE

Santa Fe Arts & Culture is a website designed by New Mexico CultureNet to promote economic development in the city of Santa Fe through arts and culture. Our site is an extensive online resource for residents and visitors alike. Featuring a comprehensive events calendar, ticket sales, arts directory, marketplace & classifieds, Santa Fe Arts & Culture is THE starting point for defining your Santa Fe experience.

Santa Fe Arts and Culture receives funding from the following sources:

The Portal Team

Alex Traube- Project Manager & Content Developer

Since he founded New Mexico CultureNet (www.nmculturenet.org) in 1997, Alex Traube has steered the organiztion towards the kind of cultural information mapping and sharing that the Santa Fe Arts & Culture Web Portal requires. CultureNet's work in developing online calendars, artist directories, email calendars, listservs, electronic newsletters and other interactive features presages the requirements of this project. In 2002, the Peter Drucker Foundation recognized New Mexico CultureNet for its outstanding achievement in creating WebSlam, an online poetry contest for New Mexico teens. Traube, a resident of Santa Fe since 1974, has been a award-winning photographer, a teacher (at SFCC, UNM, Santa Fe Prep, School of the Art Institute of Chicago), and an information technology consultant working with the Museum of New Mexico/ Foundation, Sony and the Roswell Museum and Art Center. In the early 1980s, he served as an Artist-in-the-Schools in Santa Fe and Las Vegas, New Mexico.

Samsunshine Levy- Technical Director & Developer

Samsunshine Levy is a past Chairman of the Board of Directors of the New Mexivo Internet Professionals Association (NMIPA). He obtained a $600,000 RDC/DOE grant for NMIPA marketing, operations, website development and business training, in 2001.  Sam has been a community college teacher and workshop presenter for a series of "Doing Business on the Internet" workshops. He regularly publishes Internet Business advice column in the NMIPA Internet Informer, distributed to over 10,000 New Mexico business owners and Chamber of Commerce members.  He is an inaugural participant in the Santa Fe Future leadership, community investigation and annual white paper development program sponsored by SFEDI, SFCOC and SFCC. He also is Chairman of New Media Industries, Inc., a collaborative industry and community marketing, awareness, training and economic development group. He is a former gourmet chef with a series of online cooking videos and recipes at www.adobechef.com and www.thenetcave.com/posole.html

Hope Atterbury - Director of Marketing

Hope Atterbury is an Internet marketing and e-business expert.  She uses skills honed as an award-winning public affairs producer/director in print, radio and television to maximize effective business presence on the Web. As president of SiteAwarness Worldwide (www.siteawareness.com), she creates custom Internet exposure for clients through online competitive analysis, e-business market researc, site design consultation, qualified Web traffic recruitment and search engine optimization/submission.

Additional Contracting Positions

On an ongoing basis, the portal could not function without the contributions of assistants in the important areas of content development, online marketing, traffic development, programming development, page production, web strategy & analytics, administration and bookkeeping.
