Tequila Sherbet

1 1/2 cups sugar
3 cups water
1/2 teaspoon lime zest
1/2 cup lime juice
1/3 cup tequila
1 egg white
1/4 teaspoon coarse salt
Stir together sugar and water and boil for five minutes. Add lime zest and boil one more minute. Stir in lime juice and pour into f reezer tray. Freeze until mixture is thick. Remove and place mixture in a blender. Add tequila, egg white and salt, and blend together. Return to freezer and leave until firm.
