Red Chili Stew

4 pounds ground beef
1 large onion, chopped
1 green pepper, chopped
1 (6-ounce) can tomato paste
1 (15-ounce) can stewed tomatoes
2 (8-ounce) cans tomato sauce
1 clove garlic, chopped
4 ounces green chile, chopped
8 ounces salsa
3 tablespoons pure red chile powder
1 tablespoon salt
Garlic salt, to taste
Cook ground beef and drain. Add remaining ingredients, cover and simmer for at least an hour to blend flavors. The amount of red chile powder can be adjusted according to how spicy you want the stew.
